Summary

Her life is too chaotic for love. But adding more chaos is exactly what brings him-and love-in.

Tory is living her dream running her own coffee shop, Love a Latte, and raising four young kids. But her divorce left her doing it all on her own and not always succeeding. She'd consider marrying again someday-- as long as the man was the complete opposite of her ex. But she really has no hope of that, because who would ever willingly step into her chaotic life?

Not only has Nate's marriage failed, but during the entire time he was married, he'd failed at convincing his ex that they should start a family. His lack of a love life can't be helped, but with his busy construction company and crew, he can help others plenty.

When a tree falls on Love a Latte during a lightning storm, causing extensive damage to the building, Nate steps in to help Tory rebuild. As the damaged building is being mended, can working side-by-side also mend their damaged hearts?

My Review

LOVE AGAIN AT THE HEART OF MAIN STREET was one of those reads that surprises you. It's full of lovable characters who are so easy to connect with and are dealing with real, everyday problems as well as past hurts. They're not even on each other's radar, but an instantaneous attraction and circumstance have other plans. What ensues is a story full of heart set in a charming small town.

This is a new-to-me author and a book that I hadn't even heard of or seen until I picked it up to review. The cover just looks like a sweet contemporary romance, and it is, but it is also so much more and I loved every minute of it. These characters had some things to work through, particularly dealing with insecurities from their failed marriages. I loved how good they were for each other. I also adored Tory's kids. I laughed so much with them, particularly a favorite seen when Nate shows up at Tory's house during utmost chaos. I could so relate. I also loved how these characters grow to find friendship and then the possibility of more.

In the end, was it what I wished for? I loved this story! It was a great balance of opening up to unexpected love amid the struggles of everyday life. Great characters, plenty of humorous and romantic moments, and a charming setting. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author!
